rant about Caddicarus's video about how he failed to build a computer/s

Caddicarus made a video of him building his own computer, and as much as I love you and your content  Caddicarus you fall into the category of people that are just oblivious of using logic and proceeding to complain, swear and lollygag. Now that I've got that out of the way on to the list of things that could've been avoided and how you just decided to throw logic out of the window.

You're looking for extremely hard to get PC parts, no wonder they cost an arm and a leg, you're looking for a 5950X , AMD's top of the line processor (well at least as of 18th of July  2021) and a RTX 3080 (not the top end card but with Nvidia's price gouging it's merely the price of a used BMW 5 series retail let alone scalper pricing), and then getting a RTX 3090 (whew boy are you in for a kicker), all of these parts are hard to get price wise, availability wise.

You could have gone the sensible way and upgrade your existing computer, sure it ain't allot better but it is better. But no you went the route of kicking in your computer, not to mention that you could've sold the computer to have more money towards your new build, or just had a spare computer if something went wrong with oh I don't know.. Everything fucking up.

kicken in the computer

You're too afraid of stuff and don't grasp that not everything is magic boxes and that they'll explode if you fart too near to them. Turning on the computer by shorting the pins with a screwdriver is not horrifying, those probes are meant to be shorted as to send a signal to whatever function you want to do.

You don't need antistatic bands, static electricity is only bad if you're fiddling with something whilst it's running, or if you're building it on a shag carpet (I've done that and there wasn't any issues), but hey that stuff's a couple of quid and not a total disaster.

You're saying you ordered the ASUS Prime X570-P while in the video you're building on a TUF X570 Plus WIFI, not an issue it just annoyed me.

X570 Motherboards were released along the 3000 series processors, the 5000 series is new and not supported, everyone on the internet was raving about the fact that you have to update the BIOS as for any newer CPU to work. Even in the store they remind you that you have to update the BIOS.

I'm not going to comment on how shit you and LSG are at troubleshooting.

Memory issues are just prominent on first gen Ryzen.

The SSD would not be causing that issue either the computer wouldn't start because the ssd is causing a short or it would just not show the ssd in the bios.

I didn't get if you updated the bios or not, but it seems to me like it needed a power cycle (hold the power button from 30 or so seconds), or you shutdown the computer in the middle of updating and bricked the motherboard. Which could have been resolved by either contacting ASUS support or just getting an RMA.

I don't like MSI motherboards because their high end motherboards have the same power design as their low end motherboards. But this one is fine.

The more you to "try to fix" the issue the more I slapped my forehead out of disappointment. If it just turns off as if it lost power, it means there's a power issue. Most likely the motherboard or CPU. This could all just have been evaded by contacting MSI customer support, and perhaps getting an RMA on the CPU or Motherboard.

I've fixed the issue you had on your laptop by reinstalling windows on a bunch of laptops and computers (something could have gotten corrupted because Windows is a pos). But might have been an issue with the keyboard and touchpad (loose connector, moisture, a hard hit etc).

The noise the other computer made is just a fan that needs to be oiled, or raplaced.

The video output thing could just be a driver taking a shit in the bed, so maybe try reinstalling drivers? either that or the gpu is dying.

You got 100 pound monitors and expected IPS level blacks on a TN panel...

You could format your drives using quick format (most of the time it uses quick format when installing windows), and then recover your files, they're still on the drive :) it could take a few hours but it's better than nothing.

RMA the fucking controller.
